Happy Early Christmas!!

I played Santa early at work this year as I am off the entire week of Christmas!! HOORAY!!! This will give me time to finish my last few gifts. With the hustle bustle of the holidays I needed something quick and easy to make for my co-workers. So I made my version of 'Reindeer Poop'. Ho-Ho's!!!!! I didn't want to get chocolate covered nuts or raisins- who knows whos allergic!!! That would be terrible!! So I decided on the Ho-Ho's. They were a HUGE hit!! I made 20 of these guys!!

The Greeting Farm Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my little blog. I am doing my very first blog hop and hope you like everything that you see. For my blog hop contest submission I had to actually rush to get some Greeting Farm Stamps especially for the hop since I don't own any. Luckily, Santa knew I needed these for the hop tonight and gave them to me early. Here I here I have used the Rita stamp with a cute little kitty who has a resemblance to my own kitty, Sweetums. Her bow is glittered using red stickles. The Inside of the card says : I hope your Holiday is Purr-fect! Meow-y Christmas!!

I hope you all like it :) I know I enjoyed making it!!

I'm back...

from vacation that is. Marc and I went to Lousiana to visit some of his relatives down there. My mother in law came with so that was interesting. Lousiana was...well, HOT. The food was good but it was really hot. Since my last post I have been busy thinking up a name for my little business and I think that I am going to use 'The Littlest Detail'. What do you think?? it's cute, it's catchy. I like it. My sister got married on June 20th and I promised I would share some pics of that so here they are: The first one is of the bouquet I made for the bridesmaids, in the pic is my sister, the bride. Here's a pic of the brides bouquet, my sister LOVED how this turned out with the bling and the wrapping treatment on the stems.

Here's a close up of the embossed vellum overlay on the bridal shower invites.
Here's the full shot of the shower invites.
Here's the inside of the tea length wedding ceremony programs.
and the outside of the ceremony programs.

yep..I'm gonna do it.

I'm gonna start my own small business.  I'm not sure what I'm going to call the business itself but I am going to call myself a Party Detailer specializing in invitations, party favors, and gifts.  I've been kind of going back and forth with the idea for awhile now and I'm just gonna bite the bullet and do it.  After helping my sister pretty much do everything for her wedding- I thought ya know, I can do this and make MONEY!!!!!  I'm not gonna be one of those OUTRAGEOUSLY priced handmade things people, I just want to make unique things for people that they can't find anywhere else.  So I'm gonna do it.  I had a blast helping my sister with her wedding odds and ends and just want to do it now.  So wish me luck! If you have any suggestions or questions please let me know :)  I'll post some more pics of the projects we made for my sis' wedding soon!!

Good Morning All!!!  I have been a spoiled little girl...well at least my hubby spoils me.  I broke down on Thursday and bought an iMac- yeah I am in LOVE!!!!!!  So I have been playing around with alot of the features and since my iMac has a built in camera and video camera.  I took a few pics here is my fav......

I also FINALLY cleaned out my other closet in my craft room and now just need to make a top for my new sewing closet desk.  Next on the agenda??  Get another white pantry cabinet for my overflow of stamps and paint my room green.  :)  We'll see how motivated I get.  I will have to try making a tutorial video sometime with my new toy!!!

I'm sorry I have ignored you little blog :(  here..let me make it up to you.  Here are all the goings on for the past few months:  Marc and I have been working out and have lost a total of 46lbs together ( Marc lost 36lbs himself!!!).  My garden is finally coming in and it really needs an over haul.  So we have been VERY busy with that.  I have been making my craft room sewing closet, complete with built in desk.  I have also been making invites, invites, and more invites, for my sisters bridal shower, bachelorette, and a few conformation commisions.  I recently have been really sick and just went to the doctor to be placed on hormone supplements.  And Marc bought me the Adobe Suite CS4 with Painter and a new wacom tablet.  The plan is to get a MAC desktop next and use that to build my either photography business or my invite business or both :)  How cool would THAT be???  Pretty awesome I think...

New stuffs

Here are the pics of the projects I promised :) enjoy!!

Lucky You Treat Box
Stamp Set: Love You Much, Tiny Talk
Paper: Wild Wasabi Cardstock (ww - 5.5" x 3"), Certainly Celery Cardstock
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green
Accessories: 5" Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Certainly Celery Button, 3-heart Punch

Score WW cardstock at 1.25", 2.5", 3 3/4", and 5".  Turn paper and score at 1 1/2". Cutting on the short side of the scores, cut up the the score lines on the three scores, cutting of the smallest score (confusing I know but it's just like a 2,4,6 box except smaller).  Fold up and embellish, it's that easy.  I used the hearts and 3 heart punch to make the Shamrock.

Here is a pic of my sisters wedding favors, her colors are Pink, Black and White.  She's going with an elegant candy shop theme, so I came up with these. Only 40 more to make.  So far we have 120 done :) Wish us luck in finishing :)

YAY!!

This week has been really hectic for me up at work and on the homefront.  I have been helping my sister prepare for her June wedding which has been really fun and at the same time REALLY making me question whether I need to be a wedding planner.  We'll see.  We went to hobby lobby last night to get some centerpiece ideas and we came out with a bunch of stuff!! She is going to have candy in candy jars for her centerpieces :) It's going to be SO cute!!!  We also worked on her favors which I will post a pic of later tonight.  I have been a craftin machine as I also made some St. Patty's day goodies for my co-workers using an idea I saw at regionals (well the box part anyway).  I will also post a pic of that tonight.  All in all it has been a great and productive week.  I FINALLY got my Occasions Mini pre-order the other day and I can't WAIT to play with all my new goodies!!!!!!!  Check back for pics of all the new projects!!

:( I'm sick

I am REALLY not feeling well and as much as I would like to go down to my craft room and stamp while I have the day off, I just don't feel like it :(  I have the monthly blues :(  with the cysts that I have it seems as if things are getting worse month by month- I will have to schedule an appointment with the doctor really soon to figure out what the deal is.  Well, Marc and I gave Sushi a home hair cut.  And while he is MUCH happier without all the hair knaps, he looks like he got in a fight with the razor!!!  I was really careful not to knick him (in fact I was almost in tears at one point I was so worried I was gonna cut him) but he still looks like heck, oh well, it'll grow out.  I told Marc that if we had company that we would have to hide him, he just looks SO ridiculous!!!

Got back from regionals on Saturday and had a REALLY fun time.  I met up with some of the folks from splitcoaststampers.com  and learned quite a few new tricks!!!  I will post some pics once my computer decides it wants to download them.

I was also able to get some more of the white 'store n style' from Michaels last week and just need to get a desk top and my sewing closet will be ready to go.  I would like to paint in there first though.  So once it gets a bit warmer out I am going to be working on that project.  I am still in the market for a new sewing/embroidery machine.  I have my eye on a couple but I need to pay off a few other bills first.  Well, off to make some dinner!!!!

YAY!!

Hello All! Good news Sushi is doing good and is DIRE need of a full haircut. With his surgery they had to shave quite a bit of him and now, well he looks a bit funny.  So I will be giving him a kitty cut soon.  I have been very busy getting ready for the SU! regionals that are this weekend.  I have been a card makin' fool!!  I have made 120 cards so far!! My goal is 150.  Almost there.  I will show ya some pics once I take 'em.  I also have been busy re-organizing my craft room.  There is still a bunch I would like to do but this will have to do for now.

Here is my punch storage from IKEA, I will be adding another short bar inbetween the 2 long bars VERY soon, as I am TOTALLY running out of room.  My SU! ribbon is stored in SU! ribbon holders that I rigged to hang from the bars.  I LOVE it that they are no longer on my desktop.

Here is a view from well, the back of the room.  The desk is the white store in style and my dad  helped me make the rest.  My stamps are stored in the white pantry.
Here's the other side of the room where you can see my magnet board etc.
This is my bookshelf for all my SU! background stamps, hardware, cardstock, etc.  I also moved my printer over here and I LOVe how much deskspace I gained!
My UBER organized closet.  After dealing with an actual craft avalanche, I said enough was enough.  So I addded a shelf and LOVE my new closet!!

My Kitty

Hi everybody,  my kitty, Sushi, is going in to have some stones removed and a biopsy done of his bladder.  He has been in alot of pain lately and I would really appreciate some extra prayers.  My mind has been all over the place this morning thinking about my little Cuddle-kins.  Here's a super cute picture of him:

They have added so much to the Big Shot line I can't even begin to tell you...yeah, I'm gonna be broke for some time.  I haven't taken any pics of the new cards that I have made.  But here are a few cards I made a while ago to keep ya entertained until I can find the time to take some more pics........
